Great Pyramid: Khufu Pyramid Tour
Fri, Oct 29: Giza, Cairo, Egypt
The Great Pyramid also known as Khufu Pyramid which is located on the Giza Plateau. It’s the largest and most famous pyramid and part of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We came here on the last official day of our tour as they saved the best for last.
Can you still go inside the Great Pyramid?
Yes, the inner chambers of the Great Pyramid are still open to the public. The King’s Chamber is open for everyone. The Queen’s Chamber and the Subterranean Chambers are only open for two-hour private tours, from 4pm to 6pm.
Now that you’ve seen the Great Pyramid, check out the Middle Pyramid or the smaller Menkaure Pyramid. If you’re really adventurous, try seeing what is under the Giza plateau in the spooky Osiris Shaft.
Or perhaps I could interest you in the Stone Circles of Stonehenge.
Do you believe the dynastic Egyptians build the Great Pyramid, or was it created by someone before them? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
